I didn’t build
a career.
I built a platform.
From one chair in one shop to a company that teaches on six continents. Here’s the honest version of how that happened.
The foundation
It started with a craft nobody thought was a business
I learned to cut hair because it was the fastest way to earn. What I didn’t expect was the education that came with it: how to price without apologising, how to keep a promise on a deadline, how to make somebody feel like the most important person in the room for forty-five minutes at a time.
That’s not a barber skill. That’s a business skill. The chair was just where I learned it.
The turning point wasn’t a viral video or a lucky break. It was the day I stopped selling my hands and started building things that could run without them — products, systems, a team, a brand people wanted to be part of.
Four jobs. One standard.
Entrepreneur
Multiple companies across education, media, events and apparel — each one built to run on systems, not on my mood.
Educator
Tens of thousands of students taught through courses, the Academy and live rooms in more than twenty-five countries.
Speaker
Corporate keynotes, conferences, schools and expos. Strategy delivered with enough conviction that the room actually moves.
Builder
Still in the work. Still shipping. The brands under my name are the receipts, not the marketing.
The standard, in five lines
Your craft is the entry fee, not the business
Being excellent at the thing gets you in the door. It does not build equity. The business is what you construct around the craft — the offer, the pricing, the team, the systems, the brand. Most talented people stall because they keep sharpening the entry fee.
Charge like it costs you something, because it does
Underpricing isn’t humility, it’s a slow exit. Price for the outcome you deliver and the standard you hold, then build a service worth every cent of it. Every business I’ve fixed started with the same conversation.
Discipline outperforms motivation, permanently
Motivation shows up when it feels like it. Discipline shows up at 5am in a bad week. Build a routine that survives a bad week and the good weeks look after themselves.
Build brands that survive you leaving the room
If the business stops when you stop, you own a job. Systems, documentation, hiring standards and a brand people trust are what turn a job into an asset.
Teach what you did, not what you read
I only teach systems I’ve run in my own companies. That’s the whole filter. If it hasn’t worked with my money on the line, it doesn’t make it into the curriculum.
